8 of 8. Orange Cup Coral typically grows on the roofs of caves, arches and overhangs where the current is strong. This also includes under the roof of the Mahi Wreck superstructure where coral growth if very prolific. The tentacles of this coral species extends mostly at night to collect plankton. It is very common to see the tentacles extended during the day at the Mahi Wreck when the current is strong.
